Your own sign-in page

Each of your domains can give webmail's sign-in its own look: your logo, a title and a few words, your colours and a layout. People who open your domain's own webmail address (such as webmail.acme.com) see your page instead of the usual one, much like the sign-in pages Zoho Mail offers.

Where it shows

The page shows only on your own webmail addresses:

The address must point here first (see Your own addresses). The service's own webmail address never shows a tenant's page, and nobody can give a sign-in page to a domain that isn't theirs and proven.

Setting it up

  1. In the team manager, open Domains and the domain.
  2. Under Webmail sign-in page, fill in what you want:
    • Title: the heading, such as your company's name (up to 80 characters).
    • Message: a few lines under it, such as who to call for help (up to 500 characters; line breaks are kept).
    • Accent: the colour of the Sign in button and links.
    • Background: the page's colour, or the panel's in the split layout. Text on it is made light or dark to stay readable.
    • Layout: Centered puts the logo, words and form in the middle of the page; Split puts the logo and words on a coloured panel beside the form, which stacks on a phone.
    • Logo: a PNG or JPEG of up to 256 KB and 2048 pixels a side. A wide logo (about 3:1) fits best.
  3. The preview beside the form shows the page as people will see it. Press Save sign-in page.

Default beside a colour goes back to the usual one. Remove logo takes the logo away, and Remove takes the whole page away.

The words are shown exactly as written: links, HTML and Markdown are not made into anything. Only the title, message, colours, layout and logo can be changed; the form itself, and the steps after signing in (two-step sign-in, single sign-on), stay the same everywhere.

From the API and command line

GET, PUT and DELETE /v1/tenants/{tenantId}/domains/{domain}/signin-page read, set and remove it; the logo is sent as a data: URL. Webmail reads the page for the address it is on from GET /api/mail/signin-page.

If a domain moves

A domain moved to another tenant takes no sign-in page along; the new owner sets their own.
